Which Two Teams Spiked It — and Which 11 Dig the GHSA Volleyball Playoffs Today?

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Volleyball State Playoffs are in full swing across Georgia this week. Two Savannah-area teams — Richmond Hill and Savannah Arts Academy — earned first-round victories yesterday and are moving on.


Richmond Hill swept Dacula to advance in Class 6A, while Savannah Arts rolled past Hardaway 3-0 to move into the Class AA Sweet 16. 

Today, 11 more Coastal Empire teams take serve on hit court today as they look to keep their postseason dreams alive.

GHSA Volleyball State Playoffs — Wednesday, October 15

Class 5A
Apalachee (25-18) at South Effingham (38-10), 6 p.m.
Habersham Central (26-9) at Effingham County (19-21), 5 p.m.

Class A Public
Bryan County (19-17) at Lamar County (22-7), 3 p.m.
Woodville-Tompkins (10-11) at Brooks County (18-6), 5:30 p.m.

Class 3A Public
Jenkins (18-10) at Dawson County (21-16), 5 p.m.
Southeast Bulloch (14-18) at Islands (18-12), 7 p.m.

Private Class 3A–1A
Atlanta International (8-13) at Savannah Christian (28-10), 4 p.m.
Landmark Christian (15-17) at St. Vincent’s Academy (32-11), 4 p.m.
Prince Avenue Christian (10-24) at Calvary Day School (18-10), 5 p.m.
Savannah Country Day (13-10) at Providence Christian (17-10), 5 p.m.
