"Our team comradery was the key to our success this season," said Woodville Tompkins head coach Kalen Pinckney. "My boys have created a unique team bond that is a healthy balance of support and competition. As a coach, it's amazing to watch these young men and a women cheer for each other, while at the same time, push themselves to run for better times during meets and practices. Cross Country is not an easy sport and those who compete is in this sport are the only ones that know the pain and a mental toughness required to succeed. That's what created this bond between my runners and that's what led to our success this season. And I'm so proud of all of my runners here at Woodville Tompkins."

The state championships will be held at the Fort Georgia State Historic Site in Oglethorpe, Georgia. The boy's race will begin at 9:30 AM, and the girl's race will start at 10:30 AM.
