First-Year Program: Richmond Hill High School Girls wrestling team Ready to Rumble

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state girl's dual team championship match is scheduled for this weekend, January 26-27 at the University of West Georgia. The Richmond Hill High School Lady Wildcats have earned a spot in the event in their first year of wrestling competition. 

The Wildcats secured their state tournament spot after defeating Bryan County (54-18), Long County (54-18), and Burke County (42-30) but lost to Greenbrier (53-24) in the GHSA  Class 7A Region 1 Dual team tournament two weeks ago.

 

Richmond Hill will start wrestling today against Gainesville. A win will keeps the Wildcats in the winner's bracket, but a loss will move them to the Battle Back bracket. The dual meet is in a double-elimination format.
