GHSA Savannah Schools Reshuffled for Next Two Years - Where is your team playing?

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) recently announced the classifications for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years, impacting its 457 member schools. Here are where Savannah Area schools were assigned for these two years. 

 

Note: The old classification for each school is in parentheses.

 

Savannah area schools are as follows:

  • Class 6A: Richmond Hill (7A), Effingham (6A)
  • Class 5A: South Effingham (6A), Bradwell (5A)
  • Class 4A: New Hampstead (4A)
  • Class 3A: Benedictine (4A), H.V. Jenkins (5A), Liberty County (3A), Islands (4A), Groves (3A)
  • Class 2A: Calvary Day (3A), Groves (3A), Windsor Forest (2A), A.E. Beach (3A), Sol C. Johnson (3A)
  • Class A-D1: Savannah Christian Prep (3A), Savannah Country Day (3A), St. Vincent's Academy (3A), Savannah High (1A), Woodville-Tompkins (1A), Savannah Arts Academy (2A) , Bryan County (1A)
  • Class A-D2: Savannah Classical (1A)

The reclassification still needs to be finalized, as schools have a week to appeal their assignments. Click on the link below to see the six classifications. Remember, the GHSA will divide the schools into eight regions in each class after classifications are finalized.
