The 2023-24 SCCPSS MS Basketball Championships were held this past Saturday at the Ron Love Athletic Center on the campus of Savannah High School.
Oglethorpe Charter won the Girls Championship with a hard-fought 41-33 win over the STEM Ravens. STEM cut an 8-point halftime deficit to only 4 points heading to the fourth quarter. OCS outscored STEM 10-6 in the final quarter to hold on. Kyleighy White was named the Most Outstanding Player for OCS, while Comora Jones earned the Most Outstanding Player award for STEM.

OCS ended the year with a record of 10-1, while STEM finished with a 9-2 record.

The Myers Gators defeated the Oglethorpe Charter Titans by a score of 34-26 to win the Boys Championship, marking back to titles for the Gators. The game was tight throughout, with Myers holding a 16-15 halftime lead and then stretching it to 23-19 heading to the 4th quarter. Myers outscored the Titans 11-7 in the final stanza to bring the trophy back to the East 52nd Street School.

Jamari Jones was named Myers' Most Outstanding Player, and Ba'Nari Mells was named OCS's Most Outstanding Player.

Myers finished the season with a 10-1 record, while OCS suffered its first defeat of the season, falling to 10-1 as well.
