Head Coach Wes Worthington said the Lions' defense also supported the offense by keeping their opponents in check during key stops during the game. Defensive stats will be posted as soon as the PSR receives them. After getting his first win as the St. Andrew's School head football coach, Worthington was proud of the team's effort.
"I'm extremely proud of the effort of our young men. They played with resilience and played together through the ups and downs of the game. This is the first game where we have played a full game tough from start to finish. We will continue to work to improve in our bye week on the fundamentals. I'm also extremely proud of our coaching staff for staying the course and having our team prepared."
