The Prep Sports Report has recognized a girl's and boy's basketball player of the week since January 3, 2023. The PSR needs your help to spread the word.

The PSR needs your coach's nominations! Grassi Roofing sponsors the girl's award, and Coach's Corner supports the boys. The award will be announced on Wednesdays through the state championship games. A short writeup on the player will appear on the Prep Sports Report website and social media pages.

To make this successful, the PSR needs nominations by the player's coach by Monday before the award is made public. The ideal nomination would include statistics, such as points scored, assists, steals, rebounds, and any clutch moment. It could be several vital plays that the player made that week. The PSR doesn't need every statistic, but we would like something quantifiable to support it and not simply, "she works hard, he's a great teammate, she's very deserving." Those compliments are welcome in a nomination, but the main criterion will be objective performance. So, tell your coach to select a player from your team and send it in as soon as possible by filling out the google form by clicking on this link below.
