The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state playoffs are in full swing, and Savannah-area teams have been battling in boys' and girls' tennis, baseball, and soccer. Several local teams earned impressive wins to advance to the next round, while others saw their seasons end. It's been an exciting start to postseason play, from strong performances on the tennis courts to high-scoring games on the soccer pitch and the baseball diamond.

Teams that stood out include Savannah Arts, which advanced in both boy's and girls' tennis and girls soccer with shutout wins; Effingham County, which cruised past East Paulding in baseball with a two-game sweep; and Savannah Country Day, which won key matches in boys and girls tennis and posted emphatic 10-0 victories in both boys and girls soccer. Richmond Hill also made a statement with decisive wins in girls' and boys' soccer, while Benedictine, Bryan County, Calvary Day, and St. Vincent's each picked up playoff wins in their respective sports.

Several soccer teams opened the postseason with commanding shutouts—Calvary Day defeated Weber School 10-0, Savannah Country Day blanked Christian Heritage 10-0, and St. Vincent's rolled past Mt. Bethel Christian 10-0 on the girls' side. On the boys' side, Savannah Country Day delivered another 10-0 performance, shutting out Prince Avenue Christian in a first-round rout. Savannah Arts was also impressed with a 10-0 win over Hardaway in girls' soccer, proving that local teams are not just winning—they're doing it convincingly.
