SAVANNAH, Ga. —The first round of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state softball and volleyball playoffs is in the books, with Savannah-area programs punching their tickets to the Sweet 16. From Monday, Oct. 13, through Wednesday, Oct. 15, local teams battled in best-of-five volleyball matches and best-of-three softball series to keep their postseason dreams alive.
