Club Car Championship awards 2025 tournament exemption to BC alum Hughes Threlkeld

Club Car Championship tournament officials have announced that Savannah native and Benedictine alumnus Hughes Threlkeld will receive an
exemption to compete in the Korn Ferry Tour's Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club being played March 31 – April 6 at the Deer Creek Course at the The Landings Golf & Athletic Club.

Threlkeld is currently in his senior season at the University of North Georgia, the No. 2 ranked men's golf team in NCAA Division II. He was a 2024 Golf Coaches Association of America All-American honorable mention and is currrently ranked No. 38 in Division II golf.

Threlkeld graduated from Savannah’s Benedictine Military School in 2021 and was the low medalist at the 2021 City of Savannah High School Golf Championship at Bacon Park Golf Course.

“I am incredibly grateful to both Club Car and the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club for affording me this opportunity,” Threlkeld said. “To have my first Korn Ferry Tour start be in my hometown is a dream come true. I’m excited to represent this community and can’t wait to tee it up at the Deer Creek Course.”
