Emma Overby Dominates Week 4 with a No-Hitter: Calvary Day's Softball Star Named John Carr Seaport Player of the Week

In Week 4 of the 2023 softball season, Calvary Day School's Emma Overby has been named the John Carr Seaport Real Estate softball player of the week. The junior's outstanding performance included a no-hitter, with ten strikeouts in just five innings, and contributing a run batted in and a run scored in a victory over Liberty County 7-0. Overby's impressive week continued at the plate with a .333 batting average, two hits, 3 RBIs, and two runs scored in three games. Emma, on the pitching mound, tossed 13 innings with a remarkable 0.538 ERA, 24 strikeouts, nine hits, and three walks.

 

Calvary Head Softball Coach Laura Spivey praised Overby, stating, "Her hard work and dedication on the mound have been instrumental in our team's success. This week, she took her performance to the next level, delivering a no-hitter and displaying remarkable consistency throughout all three games."
