South Effingham senior Bailey Kendziorski has been named the John Carr Seaport Real Estate Softball Player of the Week. During the week of October 9th to October 14th, Kendziorski delivered an incredible performance on the softball field for the Mustangs.
Kendziorski pitched three games, winning all of them, with the highlight being a perfect game against Emanual County Institute on senior night. During the week in three games she pitched 17 innings, striking out 23 batters while allowing just one walk.
South Effingham's Head Softball Coach, Adam Newland, praised her performance and career: "Bailey's consistency in games throughout the week helped us win the region championship. The perfect game on senior night against ECI was the highlight of her incredible week, season, and career."
So far this season, Bailey has 16 wins with 1 losses, a remarkable 0.73 earned run average, and 141 strikeouts with only seven walks. Her opponents struggled hitting the ball as she has a batting average against of .165 against her per game.
In her high school career, Kendziorski has 59 wins and 12 losses, pitched 439 innings with an ERA of 1.15, and has recorded 582 strikeouts while issuing only 31 walks. Bailey's high school career included a commitment to Boston College in September. Her impressive accomplishments on the softball field last week have earned her the John Carr Seaport Real Estate Softball Player of the Week this season for a second time.
